Compliance needs to exist at runtime

Enterprise AI governance becomes stronger when policy is enforced during execution rather than documented only after deployment.

Policy before inference

A governed AI workflow should determine which data may be used, where inference may run, which providers are permitted and what transformations are required before execution.

Evidence after execution

The same workflow should produce evidence showing what policy applied, what system ran and what decision or output followed. This turns governance from an abstract requirement into an operational system.
